The Sanyang Road Tunnel of Wuhan Metro Line 7 (crossing the Yangtze River) connects Hankou Sanyang Road Station and Wuchang Qinyuan Road, crossing the Yangtze River about 1.3km upstream of the Second Yangtze River Bridge. It is a dual tunnel highway with 6 lanes and a subway tunnel. The main line of the tunnel is about 4660m long, and the shield tunneling section of the highway railway joint construction is about 2590m long. It is the largest diameter shield tunneling tunnel in China at that time and was completed and opened to traffic in 2018.
